AbstractThis specification covers the installation of lathing and furring to receive interior and exterior Portland cement-based plaster. The following materials shall be used: metal plaster bases —expanded metal lath and wire laths; accessories —steel, PVC plastic, zinc alloy, and cornerite; channels —external corner reinforcement and foundation weep screed; wire; rod and strap hangers; clips; fasteners —nails and screws. Hangers and cold-rolled channel main runner shall conform to the allowable spacing and spans, respectively.
